Closed for Business (Song)
Liner Notes
'After completing our first U.S. tour in 1997 we returned to Parr Street studios where we had done most of our recording during the previous year. We recorded four tracks for an EP which was to be released in October 1997. This song, which I had written on the road in America, became the lead track on the EP. It was really not a commercial track compared to The World's Still Open which was going to be the lead track but became relegated to being track 4 for being too commercial.' | ||

Lyrics
Closed For Business
Roll on up and queue in line All you need is here Absurdity in what you see Can't match the state you're in
All things are flawed to me Stick with the things that you know Buy what you want from me Hope was the one thing I sold
Say what you can't say, I'll never know Don't wanna know, what you really sold Say what you can't say, I'll never know Don't wanna know, what you really sold It's been a bad day Closed for business, I'm going home
Tasteless gas that comes in cans Why should I be stoned For selling things to heal your sins? And make your sorrows go
All things are flawed to me Stick with the rules that you know Buy what you want from me Hope was the one thing I sold
Say what you can't say, I'll never know Don't wanna know, what you really sold Say what you can't say, I'll never know Don't wanna know, what you really sold
Say what you can't say, what you really sold Say what you can't say, what you really sold Say what you can't say, what you really sold Say what you can't say, what you really sold
It's been a bad day Closed for business, I'm going home
