Chip on Your Shoulder is a song co-written by Paul Draper and Catherine Anne Davies which features on the album Confessions of a Romance Novelist by The Anchoress.

Background

It was after Paul Draper had been spending time with Paul McCartney whilst writing an interview with him which inspired Paul to get back to writing songs again[1]. After his time writing up the Paul McCartney article for Drowned In Sound he drove straight over to Catherine’s house and they wrote a song there and then - Chip on Your Shoulder. This was the first song he has written in recent years.
