"Ahh, I love this track. It's about a big headed git I used to know who was trying to out do everybody. For some reason it morphed into a fictitious character from Chester who was gonna appear on the first album, but due to it's early raucous style, and simplistic verse, it was relegated to a b-side. But I love the chorus!"

==Alternate Versions==

An acoustic version of 'Moronica' was released on Four EP in October 1997 and included on the Attack of the Grey Lantern 3CD Collectors Edition. This was engineered by Nick Griffiths at [[The Windings]], although this is contradicted by Paul Draper's liner notes from [[Attack of the Grey Lantern]] 3CD Collectors Edition: "An acoustic version of a song about a moron, recorded at the grey studio in the grey house in Chester".

A demo version of Moronica was released on the 'Demo Tapes Volume One' bootleg; this version is a different mix of the released version and has an alternative intro and lead vocals, and louder backing vocals. This was taken from a cassette tape given to fan Abbi Shaw who then contributed it to the 'Demo Tapes' project.
